The theme of the workshops will be “learning science can be entertaining & exciting”. Students will be introduced to making science toys; they will see exciting demos in physics, chemistry, life sciences & Mathematics. Planetarium shows will also be organized in this program. We plan to conduct four workshops for the school students in urban as well as rural areas.
FUN WITH SCIENCE WORKSHOPS
11th to 13th April 2016 – ‘Fun with science workshop’ was conducted for Std. 4 to 7 school students. Twenty-five students from different schools participated. They prepared scientific toys, like magnetic car, kaleidoscope, tenangram, air pressure turbine, magnetic moving butterfly. They also three demo experiments on concepts of air, motion, force. It was a memorable experience for the participants.
9, 10, 11 November 2016 - ‘Fun with Science workshop’ was conducted for students Std. 6, 7. Ten students participated in this workshop. Students prepared science toys – magnetic spinner, kaleidoscope, magnetic repulsion car, balancing doll, maths activities, they also viewed the balloon planetarium shows.
26th to 28th December 2016 – ‘Fun with science workshop’ was conducted for Std. 4 to 6 students. Ten students participated. They prepared scientific toys – CD illusion top, glass propeller, Yo No. They viewed demo experiments on concept Force, pressure and also in chemistry. They also viewed planetarium show.
